Nutrigenetics and YOU

Nutrigenetics (also called nutrigenomics) is the science of matching a person's nutritional requirements to his or her genes. Until recently, it wasn't possible to know what vulnerabilities might be hidden in our genes, like miniature time bombs. Now, however, by testing an individual's DNA for common SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms), it has become possible to formulate specific recommendations on how to stay healthier longer.

Dr. Richard Huemer is designing a website to provide nutrigenetic resources. Although it isn't completed as of this posting (Feb. 2004), and some of the links aren't yet connected, you may read the FAQs to learn more about this exciting new prospect for prolonging good health.
